GenLayer This Week Recap | May 25–31, 2026
Not the loudest week, but a productive one. Execution over noise as that’s the GenLayer pace right now. Here’s what went down.
🏆 Community Leaderboard Is Live
Thursday was the big one. The Portal dropped a Community Leaderboard and all that legacy Discord XP has been converted into Community Points. Everything you grinded for before is now sitting cleanly on your profile alongside your contributions, roles, and builder activity.
This is the Portal doing what it’s supposed to do, becoming the one place that actually shows your impact in the ecosystem. It’s a natural follow up to last week’s additions including metrics dashboard, partner directory, GenNews/GenTV, POAPs. It’s all connecting.
Current Portal numbers:
•~4.7K contributions ( 12%)
•391 builders ( 8%)
•39 validators ( 5%)
•3.1K community members ( 15%)
Newest members joined as recently as May 30. The onboarding is working.
🤝 Arkhai’s Compute Market — GenLayer Backed It
Friday, the team publicly supported
@arkhai_io on the launch of their Simple Compute Market. It’s an open source, and agent driven marketplace where AI agents find compute, negotiate, settle payments with no human involved at any step.
This is exactly what GenLayer’s adjudication layer was built for. Agents doing real commerce onchain, disputes resolvable without a middleman. The Arkhai launch is a genuine proof of concept for the whole vision.
☕ Agents & Coffee - Amsterdam, June 23
Also Friday, GenLayer announced an IRL event during Dutch Blockchain Week. June 23, 2–5 PM (GMT 2), teaming up with
@ChainbaseHQ and
@0G_labs for Agents & Coffee featuring AI Agents in Action.
First 50 people get free coffee. Registration is on Luma. If you’re anywhere near Amsterdam that week, this one’s worth showing up to.
📢 Content Worth Noting
Thursday they dropped a video on why “trust is the oldest thing we ever built” and how the agentic era forces a real answer to the question, when two sides don’t agree, who decides?
Good watch if you want the philosophical grounding behind why GenLayer exists.
Wednesday’s post was simple with “THE AGENTIC FUTURE IS INEVITABLE.” Short, confident and on brand.
Solid week as the Portal keeps getting sharper, real ecosystem projects are launching on top of GenLayer’s infrastructure, and the Amsterdam event adds a proper IRL touchpoint to the mix.
If you’re already in the ecosystem, check the leaderboard and see where you stack up. If you’re just getting in, the builder resources section on the Portal is one of the cleanest starting points in Web3 right now.
