It stands for “Collaborative Human Robot Inspection & Intervention System”.We developed a method to use a digital replica of an underwater structure for navigation of vehicles around it. We recently validated it in the TCOMS ocean basin facility & tested it in local waters. (2/3)

Latest journal paper from our lab is out! This looks at detecting the calls of marine mammals (eg. #dolphins) in the challenging noisy background in Singapore waters using ML techniques specifically tuned towards removing this noise. Access the paper here:

After our successful Arctic campaign, our scientists are undertaking a campaign to the Antarctic on the Lindblad expeditions-National Geographic voyage! They will study the acoustics of melting ice in this under-explored region which is critical in terms of climate-change impact.
