Got some brands confused and now I have to sleep on spaghetti bolognese.
My parents don't rest meat after it is cooked, keep sauces in the cupboard, and have chocolate (including a full box of chocolates) in the fridge. I honestly don't think I can live like this. They must have no ability to taste or experience texture.

It took me years to convince them to preheat their oven.

They think garlic is some sort of exotic seasoning rather than a staple ingredient.

If a film adaption of a book is made, and then another film adaption of the book is created some years or decades later, the second film is not a "reboot". I will be taking no further questions.

Given the awful move on bodily autonomy in the US, some people are making comparisons. I want to ensure people know they are being facetious. In particular, vasectomies are not to be viewed as reversible, because they often are not. Only get one if you plan on no (more) children.
Been back in Scotland a couple of days. It's nice to be back, but the perpetual experience of missing people due to moving and life circumstances is an absolute pain. Deeply unpleasant. After 6 years I think I'd like to retire from that sort of self-inflicted emotional damage.

On a more positive note: looking forward to seeing some of you out and about, Scottish pals.

(Very) new ink to mark the time I spent in Canada: one of Toronto's famous mischievous dickheads. Some idiot gave him a weapon. (Excuse the blood; it belongs to me -- not the raccoon.)

Twitter has been an absolute cesspit crammed full of basically just awful people for about decade and yet we're all still here. Fairly sure that'll remain true in a year or two.

I have a habit of making friends with the people who work in Starbucks pretty much wherever I am in the world. On this occasion it has ended with me receiving a thoughtful gift because I'm leaving Canada at the weekend.

Everyone in Toronto today.
