The most surreal experience of wartime Kyiv is the first bird song in the morning following another russian mass air raid

I ran OpenCode riding an uncensored Qwen3.6 running on a Mini-sized shiny silver box with an NVIDIA card in it for a couple of days, and I assure you: all this ethics/regulations/export control frontier AI drama will be over very, very soon

While you’re here, make my nights in the basement shelter less frequent, would you? Toss a coin to an anti-UAV air defence campaign here savelife.in.ua/dronopad/main…

People are asking about the specific setup so it goes like this: 1. A GDX Spark 2. Qwen3.6 27b AEON 3. 128k context, 32k output 4. Heavy subagentic parallelisation 5. A bunch of skills developed by Claude Code for a pentest/appsec agentic pipeline

The Weak Link In response to this tweet, I’ve translated my November 2025 post into English. Nabiullina is on indefinite sick leave and sabotaging the increase in war spending. It’s good news indeed, the post explains the reasoning behind this. open.substack.com/pub/arunni…

I’m a bit disappointed when people refer to gradual improvements in teams, companies and states as “evolution”. Evolution actually refers to the extinction of unfit species. This isn’t evolution; it’s simply measurable changes observed over a specimen’s lifespan. It’s training.

Snowden was broadcast on Russian state TV to help sell the FSB’s case for Russia’s “sovereign internet”, meaning internet cuts. For ordinary people, the effect is: mobile data vanishes, cash and paper maps return, taxis and deliveries are disrupted, messenger calls barely work, and state-approved apps become the only way through.

It's good that they are walking back. Publishing a postmortem what sort of catastrophic internal ethics failure led to assuming this was ok to try might also be a good trust-building move.
Very pleased to hear Anthropic have walked back this policy simonwillison.net/2026/Jun/1…

I believe the reasoning behind banning the Anthropic super-duper Fable model for computer security and biology is quite straightforward: both fields have viruses. I’m joking. Of course it’s marketing.

Cyber thinkers have been debating this question since 2013. Thomas Rid brilliantly dismantled the “cyberwar” and “5th domain” propositions in Cyber War Will Not Take Place. It’s baffling why we’re still unsure about this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In ”Is Cyberwar War – and Why Might it Matter?” Martin Libicki explores the question and its impact on global stability: defining cyberwar by technical criteria is inadequate, as the designation is inherently political and shaped by strategic interests. cyberdefensereview.army.mil/…

Cyberattacks are not attacks. Cyber weapons are not weapons. Cyberwar is not war.
Replying to @lukOlejnik
To be considered an 'attack', a 'cyberattack' needs to fulfil certain criteria, like reaching effects (physical destruction/loss of human life), and done by State. Otherwise the 'war' in 'cyberwar' is not a real war-like event. Unless it changes.
