Brilliant brilliant brilliant - a seafood feast @ChezBruce on tip top form! @MattChristmas1 and his team on fire today, the lobster raviolo is a CB classic but the curried monkfish was arguably even better! What a lunch.

Burgundy WIMPS @LaTrompetteUk was another pretty special afternoon - thanks to the whole team for looking after us so wonderfully. Food was light, fresh and perfectly summery - the trademark style of @Gregory_Wellman .
Now onto @ChezBruce @MattChristmas1 for lunch today!

All set for Burgundy WIMPS @LaTrompetteUk on Friday, followed by @ChezBruce on Saturday! Original plan was to take Supertuscans to Chez Bruce, but we've switched to whites in light of the weather. I'm sure @MattChristmas1 will have some suitably summery dishes on his menu!

The Bonnes Mares and Vouvray are for WIMPS, the Condrieu is for your place. My companions are bringing an Eben Sadie Chenin and a Burgaud Morgon Cote de Py to yours - I love chilled Beaujolais in this weather!

Birthday weekend in London starts tomorrow - Friday night @theveeraswamy, Saturday lunch @akokorestaurant and then Sunday lunch at my favourite @ChezBruce. Many, many calories lie ahead!!

Fantastic tasting menu @LakeRoadKitchen last night - particular highlights were the prawn congee, halibut with truffle and the pecan gelato. Some amazing wines too!

What a fabulous lunch @RootsYork today - great cookery and outstanding service. The combination of porchetta with the Batard and the Tignanello was off the scale. Hard to think of a better way to spend a Sunday tbh.

Sublime cooking by @MattChristmas1 @ChezBruce today - wow, that duck pie with the 'secret' foie gras inside may just be the best thing you've ever served!! The richness of the fishcake starter was just perfect with our White Burgundy. There is nowhere I'd rather eat.

Wine selection for lunch @ChezBruce on Saturday. It seems like ages since I've been, though judging by recent photos @MattChristmas1 and the team haven't lost their touch! Cannot wait.

I agree, I love their wines. Underhill is probably my favourite of the reds, but Dry 1 & 2 are great too. Mount Mary I love the Chard, only had Quintet once.

Excellent Sunday lunch @TheStaratHarome yesterday. Dessert & soup were the highlights, unbelievably good value at £60 for 4 courses bits and pieces. Service top drawer, and great to see @chefmarkowens on the pass too!

Highlights from last week: Hare Pie @SJRestaurant @Mr_St_JOHN and French onion & oxtail soup at WIMPS @LaTrompetteUk @Gregory_Wellman were the standout dishes, followed by a cracking afternoon at Twickenham. Sadly didn't have time to visit @ChezBruce this time!

Highlights from a 2 night break @TheStaratHarome @chefandrewpern some absolutely stunning dishes - personal favourites were the poached cauliflower with truffle, the "coronation" scallop and the lamb taco on the side of the cutlet. I have to say your somm Olly was brilliant too.

Champagne & Syrah WIMPS @LaTrompetteUk yesterday, @Gregory_Wellman and his team knocked it out of the park as always! Scallop & lobster tortelloni was the standout dish, particularly with the Comtes, and I really enjoyed the "dessert" which was deliciously different.

Tonight I finally had the signature roast cod @ChezBruce - such a great dish, and perfect with our Chardonnay. The rabbit cavatelli was my dish of the day though, packed with flavour, the kind of thing that @MattChristmas1 does better than anyone. Brilliant meal.

All set for my final visit of the summer to London - Albarino for @ChezBruce @MattChristmas1 tomorrow, Shiraz for WIMPS @LaTrompetteUk @Gregory_Wellman on Friday, plus a sneaky lunch @theninthlondon on Saturday before I catch my train home. Looking forward to it all!

Absolutely brilliant WIMPS lunch @LaTrompetteUk today - Less Celebrated France gave us chance to drink from Alsace and Loire. Food was sensational, my personal favourite was the veal, but the rabbit was a close 2nd, and there is nothing more impressive than 32 perfect souffles!
