ALT Screenshot of a small brown shield shaped object from sketchfab. This object is a cast of a medieval stone mould for a pilgrim’s medal, which was most likely used for making medals for pilgrims on their way to St. Andrews in Fife. It was found in St. Andrews Kirk in North Berwick, which would have been a stop for pilgrims continuing north.
It is made of stained brown plaster and features a cross and a saint side by side.
