The orthodox Marxist position is that we can't imagine what life will be like after The Revolution™️ but rip to them because I can and it's the British daytime tv programme DIY SOS: The Big Build. I cannot stress enough that I am not joking about this.

Sometimes I see a medical image so striking I have to call Briar over so that they can look at the things a human body can do, which it would seem include some real IRL Uzumaki shenanigans.

vinted enforces gendered categories for baby clothing, which means that even non-gendered hippie organic stuff with applique animals on it has to be gendered by the seller. This gives real-time insight into the way that certain animals are considered to have an intrinsic gender.
gender is such an interesting scam. like tell me why i regularly find myself thinking ‘what gender would you expect someone who enjoys this music to be’ or ‘can men understand this film’ with my operative human brain. bro. it’s sounds. it’s pictures

As a general rule, carnivores are male and herbivores are female. The larger an animal is the more it tends to be male. Wild animals tend male whereas domesticated animals tend female, however this can be overridden by size and carnivorousness.

Charles MaClean believed that diseases did not exist, stayed in a plague hospital to prove it, and caught plague. Towards the end of his career he was regarded as an unemployable crank. History repeats, I guess.

This is a really dumb comment given that the entire article is specifically about the phenomenon of someone who *hasn't* given up on thinking of his own words and turns out to be using ChatGPT for a bunch of things that aren't really writing.

The 'chaotic transcript' isn't the article Chris is writing, it's the transcript of his interactions with ChatGPT, which he's using in a way that's closer to a programmer's 'rubber duck'.

We just came back from Amsterdam and my main impression was that the worldbuilding is extremely lazy. Oh, the city is just a series of concentric canals? The language is just a mashup of English and German spelled incredibly goofily? This is first time GM behaviour.

That said, the edibles were surprisingly mediocre and I do not think the THC values on labels were accurate at All. Briar noticed the same thing and worried that their tolerance had gone through the roof, but I have None Tolerance and can get so high on 10mg that I can't move.

me filling out a captcha: well, there is a sliver of bicycle wheel in that square. and yet, the general notion of the bicycle is complete without the contents of that square, which is mostly pavement. is it dishonest to not click the square? or too obsessive to include it?

This arguably misrepresents the true situation which is that I came across these trousers while searching for baby clothes and then systematically searched vinted for the best deals (from multiple sellers, altho some were bundle deals) over the course of a few days.
i got multiple pairs of baggy children’s pajama pants because my partner found someone re-selling them very cheap

We had to send stuff to the Home Office as evidence that we really love each other and aren't just in a sham marriage for a visa, and honestly I should just have sent them a screen recording of me removing the carriage returns from every line of text in this novella.

Me, formatting a document Briar wrote in 2020: Hey can you send me the .pages version? I think the conversion to .docx messed up the formatting, it looks like there's a carriage return at the end of every line. Briar: Okay so DON'T LAUGH but I learned to type on a typewriter...
