the question is: how do i actually feel my feelings?
the answer: it's a skill and the easiest way to start developing it is to begin to FEEL the body –– to develop higher quality, more subtle interoception
one of the most accessible places to start feeling the body is the bottom of the feet. which also happens to be one of the more regulating and soothing places for many of us to put our attention (since we're often placing attention in the head area)
so step 0.1 of learning to feel our emotions can be: practicing putting our attention, and interest, into the soles of our feet for 1-2 mins. noticing the sensations, textures and other details in that area
