Remembering Razan Al-Najjar, in Ramadan 2018, a 21-year-old paramedic who was fatally shot in the chest by an Israeli sniper while she was treating protestors wounded by Israeli occupation forces during the Great March of Return on June 1, 2018.
Najjar had served for 10 weeks as a volunteer medic at protests on the separation wall near the Gaza border where Israeli forces have killed at least 123 Palestinians and wounded more than 13,600.
According to an investigation by B’Tselem, an Israeli soldier aimed and shot directly at her as Al-Najjar stood some 25 meters away from the wall.
Al-Najjar's death came before she and her fiance were to announce their engagement at the end of Ramadan.
