Does this really make sense?
I buy a land for 10 lakh years ago.
Today I sell it for 30 lakh.
But the same land after few months costs 35 to 40 lakh.
So where is the actual profit?
I cannot buy the same property again at today’s deal price.
This is not real gain, it is inflation.
Then why am I paying LTCG tax on money that has already lost value?
LTCG tax punishes long term ownership.
It should be abolished.
