This might not be a popular take in some quarters but look, skill-wise, Rashford is still a serious player. On loan at Barcelona, i think he made around 23 goal contributions despite not always starting. He's has that directness, the ability to cut inside or stretch defences, and moments of real quality that can unlock games. He's proven it at the highest level for years.
But Barcelona, like a lot of clubs chasing long-term projects, seem hesitant to commit permanently to a player who's turning 29 soon.
They can spend big on younger profiles like Anthony Gordon (reportedly €70-80m range) 25 years old. Rashford brings immediate quality, but his age is what i personally feel is the reason why they don't want to commit.
I'd definitely love to see him as a left-wing option for Arsenal if the right established names aren't available .
Hear me out. Our squad is built on intensity and depth, and Rashford knows the Premier League inside out. He can play that inverted left role, and has the experience to step up in big moments. If we're looking for someone who can rotate, challenge for starts, and add proven end product without a massive rebuild, he fits. He's shown he can still deliver at a high level. Imagine him under Arteta with proper structure around him. I think this will be a smart business for squad building, especially if wages are reasonable though.
