It was a privilege to tour Casa Blanca Elementary in Riverside before returning from spring recess. As Riverside Unified School District’s first STEM-focused elementary school, Casa Blanca Elementary is doing important work. I am grateful for the warm welcome from Amanda Vickers, Board of Education Member; Dr. Dan Sosa, Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, K-12; and Mr. Bernie Torres, Principal of Casa Blanca Elementary School.

AB 1745 was introduced to provide immediate relief to California drivers by suspending the state’s 61-cent-per-gallon gas tax for one year. At a time when CA families are facing some of the highest fuel prices in the nation, this proposal ensures the savings go directly back to drivers and are clearly reflected on fuel receipts.

Proud to author AB 1998 to protect women’s privacy and dignity in intimate spaces such as restrooms, showers, and locker rooms by mandating separation based on biological sex.
