Aledo's soccer season comes to an end today vs El Paso Americas in the 5A D1 Region 1 Championship. Derek Vierling coaches his final match
Thank you Coach V for your contribution to the media. In 38 seasons (Crowley boys - 6, Aledo boys - 24, Aledo girls - 8), Vierling took his teams to 32 playoff appearances with 2 state championship games
His teams won a district title 18 times and Coach V was named Texas 5A Coach Of The Year in 2018. Wishing you the best in retirement Coach V!

Aledo’s Lincoln Tubbs is a magician. He stays in bounds and makes a few miss en route to an 30 yard TD. #TXHSFB
Bearcats lead 14-3 (4:39 Q1) and are averaging 18 yards per carry. Aledo is scoring quick and easy.

Maybe the most unselfish kid I’ve ever coached. Called a play to get him another TD Friday night but he made the other RB run it so he could get the TD. Nothing makes me more proud than playing for your brothers
