It looks like people are buying up M5 Max's as well now. There is a month wait now in the online store. Three month wait for a Studio with 96GB. Yikes!

What is going on with @openai lately? GPT 5.5 has been absolute dogwater the past two days. "You’re right to call that out." If I see this one more time I'm going to lose it.

Indeed he was. It's Graphic not Jraphic.

huggingface.co/sensenova/Sen… New open source image model. The quality is decent. The skin's very artificial looking, but it has potential.

It bears repeating. You're going to see 50 different people tell you 50 different things about model releases. Ten will tell you that MiniMax M3, Kimi K2.7 or other models suck. Ten will tell you their great. Another ten will tell you their okay, and then you'll have different benchmarks telling you different things. Don't trust anyone but yourself. Do your own testing. Test your own projects and workflows. Always decide for yourself. Because there are a lot of people with bad information or intent.

What is going on with the censorship of GPT Image 2? If I use the web app or the mobile app it's fine, but if I try to use it either in my open App Server app, or within a supported harness like OpenClaw 90% of the prompts are getting rejected either for content or for unknown reasons. I know a lot of others are experiencing this as well. I get that OpenAI is looking to IPO, but it's a bad look when users with a free account can create images that a developer who is paying $200 a month cannot. The same prompt was used here in both cases.

I'm a bit surprised that Cursor would do this, but in the AI space, this seems to be the rule rather than the exception. "Hi Rich, We saw you ran out of @Cursor credits mid-task yesterday, so we added $50 to your account. Head back in to finish your task whenever you're ready, the credit is good for one week." I got this email yesterday. I thought, hey great I can go back and finish up the current phase of the project that I was working on in Fable 5. I applied the credits and started working. I saw the $50.00 on my account and thought I was safe to start building and I did and for at least a few hours there was no movement but then out of the blue it jumped to $22.90 and then I received an email from Link that my bank account was charged for that amount. That same $50.00 credit was completely erased from my account. I emailed Cursor and let them know what happened and they said that the credits work against a future invoice and not the current month, but the problem is they give you 1 week to use these credits and my future invoice wasn't until the credit would have expired.

It feels weird having FOMO for not being able to get to run either Kimi K2.7 or Minimax M3 because I'm poverty level M5 Max at 128GB. Even the best quant won't be enough it seems. Waiting for Ultra Studios until October/November timeframe seems like an eternity away.

Such an upgrade going from a 5090 mobile to desktop (I know, duh), but I'm getting more than three times the speed in Topaz Video AI which makes rendering video locally faster than their cloud plan (and cheaper). I used to max out at .3fps on my mobile 5090 and 0.1 on my M5 Max 128GB. With the desktop I'm getting between 0.9 and 1.0fps. Still very slow, but Starlight Precise is a fantastic model and well worth it.

Working on a revamped promptsilo.app which is going to focus on creators and their ability to package and sell their works as well as continue to offer an enormous library of free prompts. I'm including the asset generation tools like this I2V option with an NLE editor with stitching and auto prompt continuation. This is still early yet, but I am looking forward to shipping.

Here's a much more modest image and @OpenAI still blocked two of the four images. I've had completely innocuous images that are getting blocked. I understand that a pending IPO causes companies to do things like this, but this is a ridiculous overcorrection.

It's sad, but now ChatGPT Image 2 is the by far the most restrictive of all the frontier/closed models. Here's a screenshot from my Recraft canvas where this prompt created using every model. @OpenAI is the only model that rejects almost anything prompt like this.

This June 22nd cutoff date for Fable is really just the dealer saying first hit is free.

Something for the old head gamers. I gave Fable 5 the source code from one of my favorite early games and it made a completely gameplay perfect (so far) version of Telengard. I'm just going to get it to modernize the graphics and I'll open source it if people are interested.

Notes from the Fable run. What's in the box (telengard/) Faithful mechanics, line-referenced to the BASIC: all 36 spells with original formulas, 20 monsters with quirks (friendly elves, thieving hobbits, generous dragons, level-draining wraiths, paralyzing ghouls, dragon breath), the 9 room features, treasure/trap tables, the pursuit track for evaded monsters, XP = 1000·2^level, gold-to-XP banking at coordinate-named inns ("Worthy Meade Inn"), throne gongs, fountain roulette, and the cruel stuff — Plague backfires, Word of Recall strips your gear, drained level-1 characters die. Modern shell: animated canvas dungeon view with light/vignette effects, live character sheet with HP/SU/XP bars, scrolling message log, clickable action buttons and full keyboard play, WebAudio sound effects, and localStorage saves — permadeath characters autosave continuously and are erased on death; regular characters revive from their last inn save. Testing included a scripted stress run that auto-played ~4,000 prompts down to dungeon depth 109 with zero errors — and my hand-played test characters all died horribly within minutes, which is about as authentic as Telengard gets.

My first test with Fable 5. I have some credits to burn before my Cursor account runs out. A pretty close to perfect clone of Galaga. It cost 2% of my $60 Cursor sub. It was a one shot.
