One thing I enjoyed about this flyer design was finding a way to communicate the idea visually, especially when there was an image constraint. The event theme was "Breaking the Silence: Mental Health Awareness and Support for Women - Building Hope, Healing, and Inner Peace. So, my first instinct was to use a woman as the central visual element since the event was specifically targeted at women. But, the organization is a Muslim community where human image was avoided, so the direction won’t be suitable. The solution was to use an image that represents the theme perfectly. A tangled knot that gradually transforms into a blooming flower. The tangled knot symbolizes emotional burdens, internal struggles, anxiety, stress, and the silent battles many people carry. As the knot begins to change and eventually blossoms into a flower, it represents healing, hope, growth, clarity, and inner peace. What I particularly like about this approach is that it doesn't just decorate the flyer, it reinforces the message. Even without reading the headline, the audience can subconsciously understand the journey being communicated: From confusion to clarity, silence to expression, burden to healing. The soft pink flower was also intentionally chosen to create a subtle feminine connection while remaining elegant, symbolic, and appropriate for the audience. Effective design isn't always about making something look beautiful. It's about translating ideas into visuals that people can instantly connect with. If your brand, event, or campaign has a message that needs to be communicated clearly and creatively, I'd love to help bring it to life. Another episode of integrating AI into my workflow. Here, I brainstormed design concepts with ChatGPT and also generated the image for the design. Thoughts?

What a weird way to look at it. Manner don't drop from heaven again. A lady on Twitter bought me a good laptop 2 years ago, and I used that laptop to make over $20k( this my 2nd year in the tech space) and currently still using it. I was too broke to afford it. After experiencing the opportunity a good laptop gives you. That's why I bought 2 laptops for random people here on X lasted year and hopefully I can do that this year. Not because a laptop guarantees success, but because it removes a major barrier and prepares you for opportunities when they come. Nobody is saying a laptop guarantees a job. A laptop doesn't automatically create opportunities. What it does is put you in a better position to access them. The difference between trying to build a career on a phone and on a laptop is huge. When my laptop got damaged, I panicked because I was broke and had to rely only on my phone. I quickly realized that "locking in" on a phone is completely different from locking in on a laptop. With a laptop, you can apply for jobs faster, learn more effectively, attend interviews professionally, work on multiple tasks at once, use tools that simply don't work well on mobile, organize your workflow better, and reduce distractions. It helps you show up consistently. A laptop is not the destination. It's a tool. But for many people trying to break into tech or remote work, it's one of the most important tools they can have. And you people should stop acting like manner will drop from heaven.
you go think say na laptop dey hold you back until you buy am

I hosted a Google Meet session with some of my WhatsApp audiences yesterday night. It all started from a conversation on my WhatsApp status last month that sparked a lot of questions and engagement. I was able to explain my client onboarding process from the first message a potential client sends, to understanding who they are, learning about their brand, uncovering their goals, understanding the reason behind the enquiry, and finally executing and delivering the project. I also spoke about how I started my design journey, my experience navigating social media, building relationships with fellow creatives, and how I've positioned myself over time to attract paying clients. It was amazing sharing my experiences, lessons, and insights with other creatives, and I genuinely enjoyed every bit of it. Hopefully, this is the first of many more conversations to come.

In Nigeria today, getting into tech is no longer as accessible to beginners as many people assume. A newcomer today needs a laptop, internet access, electricity, and enough financial breathing room to stay consistent while learning. In the current economic climate, that’s a significant hurdle before any learning even begins. The opportunities in tech are real, but so is the cost of entry. Talent may be evenly distributed, but access certainly isn’t. That said, difficult doesn’t mean impossible. Every day, people are still finding creative ways to learn, build, collaborate, and break into the industry despite the odds. The challenge before us isn’t just creating opportunities; it’s making those opportunities more accessible to the next generation of builders.
