We had a great time talking about aquatic insects with anglers at this year's Ausable River Two-Fly Challenge. 🤓 It's always fun hearing people "ooooo" and "ewwww" while peering at their favorite insects with a microscope. #ausablecenter #flyfishing #flytying #adirondacks

The willow catkins are bursting and the bees are a buzzing! Spring is here!✌️Native willow shrubs are easy to propagate from seed or cuttings & grow quickly, making them one of our top choices for replanting along rivers and streams to help secure the bank.

Alongside our collaborators @ Paul Smith’s College AWI, we gave the Mirror Lake buoy a spring spruce-up, data download & battery refresh. The buoy continuously records conductivity, temperature, & dissolved oxygen at multiple depths, providing insight into overall lake health. x.com/ausablecenter/status/2…
