A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged for allegedly sending over 17 million scam texts pretending to be courier and toll organisations such as AusPost and Linkt.
NSW Police took the man into custody from an address in Moorebank early Tuesday morning.
The arrest follows an investigation into SIM boxes - devices which reportedly can hold over 250 regular SIM cards and have the ability to send 150,000 text messages containing fraudulent links per day.
The man has been charged with using equipment connected to a network to commit a serious offence.
