I love this review of The Wolf Experiment! 5 out of 5 stars Amazing Sci-Fi Paranormal Romance Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2026 Format: Paperback “Whatever tomorrow brings, we’ll face it together, right?” I squeezed her hand, “Always.” I just finished The Wolf Experiment by Laura Daleo and I am blown away!!! This book has it all, mystery, action, adventure, love, intrigue, family drama, and even science fiction themes! Anyone who enjoys reading sci-fi, paranormal romance, or shifter fantasy would absolutely love this novel! The Wolf Experiment follows Ethan, a 19 year-old who has suffered with debilitating asthma all his life. His parents have left him in his grandmother’s care so that they can try to find a cure for his illness. While on a hike with his rescued and raised wolf pups, he stumbles upon a mysterious unidentified woman who has no recollection of what happened to her. The story unfolds at breakneck speed as her true origins begin to come to light. This story had me turning pages to see what was coming next! I had to know what was going to happen to Ethan and Mia. The thrilling adventure had exciting twists and even had such a nice closure to the end of the story. I definitely feel as though another book could come next to continue this riveting story and turn into a series! I would love to know how things go forward from where they ended in The Wolf Experiment. amazon.com/dp/1736610368 #thewolfexperiment #lauradaleo #urbanfantasybooks #paranormalthriller #scififantasy #wolfshifterbooks #mustreadbooks #suspensebooks

Figs, Vines and Roses by Joy M. Lilley, released in February 2022, is a captivating historical family saga that has enchanted readers with its poignant tale of class divides and atmospheric English countryside settings, earning widespread acclaim for its heartfelt plotting and seamless blend of romance across generations. Set in Derby, England, in 1888—where eight-year-old Issy Merryweather enjoys a privileged childhood in Cobnut Hall with her brother Clarence, beloved dog Molly, and cherished grandma Ella—she navigates the joys of innocence amid carefree summers, embarking on a journey that uncovers family secrets, forbidden love, and profound loss after a move to Kent disrupts her world. As Issy forms a secret bond with the humble Terrence despite societal barriers, echoes of the past reveal a web of deceit involving stoic parents, clandestine affairs, romantic liaisons, and unexpected twists across three generations, transforming childhood freedoms into enduring truths and heartaches in a tale where love defies class and fate. Readers have raved about the novel’s emotional narrative and immersive historical details. A Goodreads reviewer enthused, “This story is an exciting period story, set in the late 1800s about a well-off family... It grips you from the start, those who love historical things will love this, but those who do not will not be put off the story as it is expertly placed within the story so much so that everything is believable and realistic. You almost feel transported back in time!” Another shared, “Figs, Vines and Roses is a family saga giving insight between the upper and lower class in 1888... A great read that will linger in your mind!” On Amazon, a fan raved, “An English historical romance that charts three generations of the Merryweather family... Full of twists, turns, and surprises, it's a moving tale that hooks you from the first page,” awarding it 5 stars. A UK reviewer added, “A very good historical romance with elements of family drama set in Victorian England... It was engaging and compelling, brilliantly written. Well plotted.” X posts from @joygerken throughout 2025 spotlight the book’s enduring charm and its “tale of love and loss at the turn of the nineteenth century,” highlighting its availability on Kindle Unlimited, which has sustained its popularity among historical romance devotees. @joygerken zurl.co/X80MT zurl.co/e9TqF zurl.co/Z9kEl zurl.co/5pJRR Joy M. Lilley, a British author residing in Kent, the garden of England, with a background in nursing and the performing arts, has cemented her status as a storyteller of emotional enigmas with her evocative tales rooted in real-life locales. Fueled by a love for writing, voice acting, and exploring human resilience, she pens narratives of ordinary lives entangled in extraordinary challenges, as evident in beloved titles like Strawberry Moon, The Liberty Bodice, Times Pendulum Swings Again, and Bleeds When Broken. Critics celebrate her realistic historical layering and character depth, with one noting, “Light hearted yet filled with great emotional nuggets, Figs, Vines and Roses is an original and easy read that covers some tough topics in a compelling way.” Subtle threads of perseverance, romance, and moral ambiguity enrich her eras, inspired by her healthcare career and family experiences in her English base. Last night I dreamed of you again, my dear, my light. Your lips like rose‑petals fell on mine that night. Your sigh of love—a river wild and free— Flooded all my heart… Your love, a sea So deep and blue, where my whole life sinks away. Come back to me, my darling… I will stay And wait for you: In spring, when flowers wake and bloom anew. In summer, when the sun turns all the world to gold. In winter, when the snow weaves magic bright and cold. In autumn, when the leaves begin to fall from every tree. I never knew how to love you properly— Yet still I suffered when our parting came. Like autumn rains, my heart cried out your name. You were not only joy and happiness to me, But also pain—destroying, hidden, silently. And when at last I learned your heart, your soul, your way, You vanished—like a butterfly you flew away, Leaving only longing, memories that stay. My joy with you was but a moment, holding time and breath, Yet love and yearning linger on, untouched by death. All between us lived in secrecy… perhaps that’s why I loved you with such burning fire, so high. My heart refused to split you from its core. Until my final breath, I’ll pray once more That God forgives me, and you forgive me too. My love for you was fire—burning through, Leaving only ash behind its flame. Your love was morning dew that came Like blessing on my life, soft, pure, and new.

A Boy Called Archie by Joy M. Lilley is a charming children's picture book that has delighted young readers with its simple yet heartwarming tale of wishes, dreams, and unexpected joys, featuring vivid illustrations and a gentle narrative centered on a quirky young boy. The story follows Archie, an unusual child who skips the typical "terrible twos," develops an obsession with the sharp suits and flat caps from the TV show *Peaky Blinders*, and desperately longs for a puppy. On his birthday, he dreams of a mysterious man granting his wishes for the iconic outfit and a dog, but reality brings only a cap—until Christmas, when his dreams partially come true with the full ensemble and a Spaniel puppy named Lola, leaving a touching question about the dream figure's identity. Readers have praised the book's bright illustrations and sweet storytelling. An Amazon reviewer noted, “Bright, vivid illustrations and a sweet story about a boy named Archie... He only gets a cap for his birthday,” highlighting its appeal as an engaging read for children. zurl.co/mvUpU Amazon @joygerken X handle Joy M. Lilley (real name Joy Gerken), a British author and retired registered nurse from Kent, England—the "Garden of England"—has established herself as a versatile indie writer with a heartfelt touch in multiple genres. After a long career in nursing, including roles in management and artistic direction for hospital events, she turned to writing upon retirement in 2015, drawing from life experiences to craft stories of family, loss, romance, and whimsy. A proud grandmother with a large family, she has penned novels like *Figs, Vines and Roses* (a historical family saga), *The Liberty Bodice*, *Strawberry Moon*, and children's tales including *Joyful Pussy Cat Tales*, often self-published with a focus on emotional depth and relatable characters. Her background in healthcare infuses her work with empathy, while her voice acting side gig adds a performative flair. A Boy Called Archie is a modest yet endearing children's book, its simple wishes and magical undertones making it a cozy choice for bedtime stories or young fans of gentle fantasy and animal tales. Joy M. Lilley's warm, accessible style shines in this lighthearted entry, though its brevity and niche appeal place it as a sweet gem rather than a groundbreaking work in children's literature—ideal for families seeking uncomplicated joy and a touch of dreamlike wonder.
