There is a Special Public Avalanche Warning in effect for Banff, Yoho, Kootenay, and Jasper National Parks, Kananaskis Country, and areas immediately adjacent until the end of the day Monday, March 24.
It really doesn't take much sun to start destabilizing the snowpack, especially when we have new snow and a persistent slab problem! Whenever the sun starts to peek out, even if it's just in short bursts, it's safest to assume it's affecting the snow
