Announcing Waves, camera glasses for Creators.
Clip moments in stealth, livestream all day long.
Made by engineers from @UWaterloo, @Tesla, and the designers of @GoPro.
Claim yours July 23rd.
As a kid in the early 2000s, I was obsessed with Sony technology
It felt fun, optimistic, and unapologetically unique
We’re reviving that spirit with Waves – in limited edition Y2K pearlescent silver, only 500 will ever be made
Announcing Waves, a new Camera Wearable
Share anything – hands free, invisible, all day
We're working with the designers of @GoPro and are backed by @natfriedman, @aigrant, and @southpkcommons.
Our all-Waterloo team has been building in stealth with frequent trips to Shenzhen, and hundreds of conversations with content creators.
This is the product I've wanted for myself since I was a kid. I'm excited to share it with you soon.
1/ We're on the precipice of the most fundamental computing revolution I've seen in my life. You should have FOMO. Don't waste it in local maxima.
The $1M @southpkcommons Founder Fellowship application is open. Here’s what it takes to build at venture-scale in the age of AI:
The "kick test" has become an unofficial benchmark for validating bipedal robots' stability against unexpected disturbances. In real-world environments, robots face constant challenges—from human interactions to uneven terrain and objects with variable weights. Success requires a sophisticated control system that can:
1. Plan optimal foot placement
2. Generate precise control signals
3. Execute commands through actuators
All of these must happen within milliseconds of detecting a disturbance. Passing this rigorous test demonstrates a humanoid robot's ability to maintain stability under real-world conditions—a crucial foundation for deployment in production environments.
My O-1A 🇺🇸 was approved! Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way. Shoutout to @lighthousehq_ , @minney_cat and their team for the fastest, smoothest experience.
If any of my fellow Canadian founders are thinking of moving to the US feel free to send me a DM.
Bought the meta rayban's but tbh they just feel sorta gimmicky. I tried getting the VLM to identify objects in my room but it classified everything as a wooden table 💀
Still waiting for the day where wearables can actually provide me value.
