The feel of pencil on paper is undefeated. But I have done plenty of drawings and paintings where it got really messy in the studio and the price of supplies were jacked up. At least with digital I don't worry about laundry or rubbing off the conte on my arms.
To digital artists, what do you miss about traditional art and why did you switch into digital?

I'd like to clarify this is no excuse to overwork yourself on the job. Yes the job will demand or bully or imply that you will crunch and hurt yourself to get things done - BUT!
Knowing hard limits and pacing yourself is the first step to proper discipline and long term health.

Thinking through a model while you're still learning the craft isn't a skill everyone's got so the best people can go on is pure muscle memory by frequent practice that it becomes second nature, and only then more stuff starts clicking.
It's very jock-like thinking but it works.

Offloading mentoring and on the job training to novice artists who have to curate good and bad courses and tutorials and sometimes questionable "instructors" is an industry-wide failing.
It has been for decades and those of us in a lead position should be damned ashamed.

The trouble with grindhard mindset today is you won't singlehandedly solve project management issues caused by leadership and bad choices nor become skilled/useful enough to survive layoffs.

In my experience, people have done both art as a hobby and as a job. Burnout happens either way for a whole bunch of reasons unrelated to art.
End of day the economy is in a bad place because billionaires put us here and everyone is feeling it. Do what feels right.

OK!! So I think I have a fix for this on Windows.
If this happens, copy all your layers onto a new file and save that, just in case.
Then without closing CSP, sign out of Windows, sign back in and open CSP again. It should restore the file from the moment you logged off.
