When global conversations about food systems take place, my priority is clear: to bring the realities of rural Nigeria into the room, and keep them on the table. At the UN Food Systems Summit 4, I engaged with leaders across the continent on how Africa can build resilient, inclusive food systems, not just in theory, but in practice. That means unlocking finance for the smallholder farmer, trusting young agripreneurs with capital, and building structures that serve the people who feed us.

At the Bank of Agriculture, we’ve seen what’s possible when rural communities have real access to funding, knowledge, and market pathways. The future of food in Africa won’t be dependent on importation.
