Nicki Minaj’s ‘Barbie World’ song was one of the biggest songs from the Barbie movie soundtrack.
A week prior to Beyoncé’s Super Bowl commercial, the Grammys announced that ‘Barbie World’ had won ‘Best Rap Song,’ but then they claimed it was a mistake and gave the award to Killer Mike.
Ironically, Jay-Z had planned to bring Killer Mike on stage to accept another award that same night, but it didn’t happen because Mike was taken to jail briefly when they announced Jay-Z as the winner.
How does something like that happen? This has never happened before in the history of their award ceremony. The tweet was already drafted and tweeted as if ‘Barbie World’ won, but somehow we’re supposed to believe it was an honest mistake? And then here comes Beyoncé’s commercial a week later shading the ‘BarBey’ name that Nicki Minaj created.
