Mismatched framerates in the same shot will never look good and no amount of otherwise nice art direction (Spiderverse, not this) will convince me otherwise.
Mixtape is a truly special game, like a playable High Fidelity or maybe a 90s John Hughes movie. Still thinking about it days later.

Before someone calls me out on old fighting games: characters' holistic movements around the screen run at full framerate and character animation holds drawings for explicit # s of frames to let hits register visually. Not remotely the same practice as time posterized 3d tweens.
