It's a long-standing European football tradition. Suits signal the manager as the professional authority figure — distinct from players — projecting seriousness, leadership and respect for the occasion, much like a CEO on the touchline. Iconic bosses (Ferguson, Wenger, Mourinho) cemented the look. It also helps cameras and players spot them instantly. Many now prefer tracksuits for comfort and a modern feel, but the formal style remains a classic in plenty of clubs and leagues where tradition still rules.

Can someone please tell me why (some) football coaches show up in matches dressed up in full formal suit with a tie? As if it’s a board meeting. I have not understand this requirement to dress formally for a football match. It makes no sense. #WC

Can there be anything more glorious than the fans of 48 countries on this planet cheering some 20 people chasing a ball for two hours, some 2-3 times a day for more than a month, once every four years? Tell that to the aliens and they might just spare us.

So let me get this right, New York City right now is handling: 1. Knicks celebrations 2. World Cup Football 3. USA 250 Phew! Mumbai has its own. We do cricket parades, we do processions, celebrations, protests too. We also know crowds. Just reminds you why cities, large cities, I'm talking metropolis level large, just work. At uniting people, bringing them together. Imagine the infra and admin under the hood. Public transport, law enforcement, hospitals, etc at scale. So much respect for these people behind the scenes.

Mumbai: let's ban stand up comedy
1,000 New Yorkers won our lottery for affordable tickets to the World Cup. Today, we celebrated in the stands for the first NY/NJ game of the tournament. The beautiful game belongs to everyone.

Thanks very much @Google, very useful for those who don't want to spend Rs329 on an NBA pass and are too bored to pirate a stream. Very useful.

You see stuff like this and realise why no other sport comes close. Football is so closely tied to national identities, the nation's culture and it has played a role in the upliftment of nations. Nothing replicates it.

Ban all stand up comedy? Consider: 1. Moral police will become jobless 2. Jobless will lose livelihood 3. Oxygen for outrage gets cut 4. Venues lose business 5. Reality shows lose potentials Are we prepared for the consequences? 😂

I'm very happy to report that age appropriate content (for me!) is awesome on OTT. First we have S2 of #TheFourSeasons, absolutely awesome as always, that ensemble cast is 10/10 awesome. And then S2 of #YourFriendsAndNeighbors which was much, much better than what I'd expected. Jon Hamm elevates the mid life crisis man to a modern era high and Amanda Peet was absolutely magnificent. Both outstanding seasons.

#DisclosureDay was 🤯 insane movie and it helped that the entire audience was silent in that last half hour, like not one phone rang, not one screen lit up, no one spoke, pin drop silence to just soak in that absolutely wild climax. Surreal experience. Woof!

Hilarious. A traffic duty van openly breaking a no right turn at a busy traffic junction. 😂 those enforcing traffic laws are themselves breaking laws. 😂 #Mumbai #Bandra

Always special to review something which was aspirational as a kid. I never managed to own one, as it was always a little beyond my means (was Ltd to Timex & Fastrack) So the @CasioIndia G shock GA-2100CC-3A (Ltd edition, 140th anniv Coca-Cola Collab) felt special.

I'm sorry but I can't see any Bollywood star celebrating with Wankhede staff in this way after a Mumbai Indians victory. Yeah no I know, Wankhede and Bollywood have history.
Timothee Chalamet on his way out of the Garden sees a bunch of MSG employees and realizes he’s not done celebrating 😂

The NBA thriller was the perfect entry point into the World Cup Football and T20 and later Wimbledon and whatever. Sports is life, sports unites, sports heals. Can't believe that a simple ball can give so much meaning to life.
