This beautiful #bookshop in #Venice has unfortunately become a victim of its own success. A social media hype leads to total overcrowding by tourists who only want to take photos of the interior without being interested in buying books.

Very little is known about #Nietzsche's reception of #Venice as one of the great European metropolises of the #FineArts. However, he probably saw the impressive ceiling painting by #PaoloVeronese "The Apotheosis of Venice" (1582) in the #PalazzoDucale on site. #NietzscheInItaly
