"Rapid Response networks are "inherently militant" with the "explicit aim of combatting and stopping a federal agent with a gun"" is a very troubling use of grammar. I had not considered how important it was to disambiguate in public communications *federal agent with a gun* vs

Minnesota trade unionists are among the 15 people indicted by the federal government today, as part of a crackdown on organizing in opposition to ICE. The indictment cited participation in worker assemblies as evidence of conspiracy. By me and @radicalamy workdaymagazine.org/minnesot…

🚨 Feds point to NSPM-7 as basis for charging 15 anti-ICE protesters in Minnesota, alleging ties to "Antifa". U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen: "Last year, President Trump issued National Security Presidential Memorandum 7, which directed the Department of Justice to prioritize politically motivated violence. To accomplish that mission, the Deputy Attorney General stood up Joint Task Force Vanguard to enforce a national security strategy to investigate, prosecute, and disrupt those who engage in political violence and intimidation." "Today, a federal indictment was unsealed charging 15 defendants with conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers and other charges related to efforts of two Minneapolis-based Antifa groups that violently opposed the enforcement of federal law in our state The defendants are members and associates of Direct Action Minnesota."

According to the DOJ, federal authorities murdering two protestors in cold blood is not a crime but opposing those murders and the kidnapping of our neighbors with force is "a crime and it will not be tolerated in the United States." startribune.com/live-federal…

🚨BREAKING: The FBI just announced charges against multiple people, in Minnesota, describing them as part of two “Antifa-affiliated groups,” accused of conspiring to “interfere with immigration enforcement.” The charges allege coordinated activity, around immigration enforcement operations, in the Minneapolis area. This includes communication, planning, and actions, which prosecutors say, were meant to “disrupt or interfere with federal officers.” But, this isn’t just about the charges themselves…. It’s about how this is being framed, and what that framing does. When the government uses a label like “Antifa-affiliated,” it turns a broad political term into a category. That category is then used to group different people under one umbrella. This case doesn’t only involve alleged conduct. It also involves people who observe, document, organize, and speak out about immigration enforcement in their communities. The indictment also references online chats, and communications, as part of the alleged conspiracy. And this is where things get more complicated… Talking, organizing, and discussing protests, or government activity, is not the same as committing a crime. But, in conspiracy cases, those same communications can be used to argue intent and coordination. That is where First Amendment concerns come in. For almost a year, I’ve shared hundreds of videos documenting ICE/Border Patrol agents violating people’s rights, in real time. When people can actually see what is happening… it creates transparency, and accountability. And when a government doesn’t want to be held accountable… Watching and documenting the government starts being treated as “suspicious.” So, if you believe in the Constitution, this should be alarming.

This is a bad situation. 15 people have been indicted by the federal government.
The Immigrant Defense Network is confirming that a "constitutional observer's home in South Minneapolis was raided by DHS, ICE, and HSI, resulting in an arrest."

Federal harassment is an expected response, and people shouldn’t live in fear or paranoia. Be smart, be prepared. Trump and his goons want us to stay quiet, scared and isolated. Being brave is easier when all of know every will have our backs.

during this press conference it was said that all 15 of the defenders were conspiring to "injure" ICE agents. no ICE agents have been injured by anyone involved, as per the DA himself. a journalist in the crowd rightly noted that they were arrested for thought crimes.
🚨 DHS conducted raids this morning in Minneapolis, targeting rapid responders. In a few hours, they will announce conspiracy charges against popular defenders who allegedly resisted federal occupation of the city, describing them as “antifa” groups. Another NSPM-7 case.

We need to have Minneapolis’ back right now. Support legal funds in the city. Mobilize your organizations against this. Minneapolis showed us the way forward, an attack on any one of them is an attack on all of us.

Scott Wiener criminalized nudity in SF. He was on a crusade to transform the Castro into an upscale condo and tourist destination, and the naked people were a little too ... queer for him. They were a relic of the hippie and Harvey Milk era.
Replying to @neo_antiquarian
I counted what…14 cops? For a NOISE complaint? WTF? It’s like the time I saw three SFPD cars show up for a naked guy walking along 18th Street.

The word "hamburger" comes from "hamburg steak" ie cooking meat that has been ground and shaped into a patty, not the bun or the other toppings. A "chicken burger" would thus mean a patty of ground chicken, not a slab of chicken that has been fried
Americans will call a chicken burger a “chicken sandwich” even though it’s clearly in a burger bun
Community note
In American English, a "burger" refers to a patty of ground meat; the fried chicken fillet shown is a chicken sandwich, not a burger. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_s… thedailymeal.com/1493973/differ…
