I’ve been feeling the burnout this year. I can’t even lie about it. But today I realized I must be doing something right. These sweet babies chose ON THEIR OWN to pick up the trash they saw on the field and playground during their recess time instead of playing. 💕🦁#oneCCPS

My favorite “holiday” activity of the year!! After reading “Balloons Over Broadway” analyzing the text, discussing the Engineering Design Process, and researching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; we’re finally ready to start building our own float for the parade. Stay tuned!

HAPPY DAY!! I got my first set of Merge Cubes! I have wanted these for years since I saw @MergeVR used at a conference! @hapara_team graciously bought them (and some other amazing goodies!) off of my list!#sograteful can’t wait to get these in my kiddo’s hands!!! #PowerofthePride

For our PBIS reward, we chose to play another 5th grade class in kickball. It was down to the wire, and we played HARD but we did come up short and lost 10-9. Huge shoutout to @ashep23 for joining our team! We had a blast and can’t wait to do it again!!😊#PowerOfThePride #oneCCPS

Today we cut a piece of paper in half as many times as we could to represent how small atoms are. I think our highest amount of cuts in half was 22! ⚡️⚛️

Each week, I write a letter to my kids and they have to respond to my letter by writing a letter back to me.
This week’s was focusing on our classroom family. In my letter, I asked “what does family mean to you?”

SO HAPPY to finally work for a no homework school!
My question more so is: WHAT is the necessity of homework?!
It has been PROVEN that family time and extracurriculars provide more benefits than homework does after a long day of school…doing WORK!
