Hola Twitter/X, old pal of mine. I’m here to say, I’ve a new book out. TOMORROW, no less. It’s rather unlike any bread book you’ve ever read: amazon.co.uk/Big-Book-Bread-…
Join award-winning bread baking enthusiast, GP and Great British Bake Off finalist @bakingjames on Sunday 13th October, 6pm as he chats to Peter Sawkins about his brand new compendium of baking knowledge and insight, The Big Book of Bread. Book here: waterstones.com/events/james…
From my new book: the #BigBookofBread. These were leftovers at the end of the day, and have since been demolished.
The book is designed to take you from total beginner to confidence in bread baking, then explore different recipes (over 100) and processes from around the world

Crumb. Using @waitrose leckford estate flour (suspiciously similar to @ShiptonMill 4) Kilduff grown flour and some dark rye. And straight from a starter not fed for 10 days as it sat in slumber at the back of the fridge. #sourdough
Bread made using my wee portable renovation oven - this is what I’ll be using at Kilduff Farm on 1st April. No matter what your oven, with a cast iron pot, you can make amazing bread. Tickets: Kilduff.co.uk
Well, ain’t that high praise. Head to Kilduff.co.uk for tickets - £15 for an hour bread masterclass including access to their spring festival. See you Saturday 1st April!
At the risk of sounding slightly creepy, it was your demo at the Dundee F&F a few years ago that set me on the bread making path and I've loved it ever since. Thank you.
