My son Ryan did a ride along with me today. He’s interested in a possible LE career and I was happy to spend a few hours showing him. 💙

I worked the fire dept yesterday so I forgot to post that Sunday was our LAST day of working together. ☹️ Brian went back to OPD this week. He will always be my favorite back up officer and I’ll miss our door ups and lunch breaks.

We buried my beloved cockatoo, Rocky, today under a beautiful white rose bush. I planted pink and yellow roses on his sides for his other colors. Rest easy Rocky Roo Buddy Boo. We miss you so much big birdie.

Checking out for a few days. My beloved cockatoo, Rocky, escaped his cage yesterday and was attacked by the bulldog and didn’t survive. I’m beyond heartbroken and completely devastated. My heart was ripped out. Love you always big birdie.

🚨A Hamilton County Deputy was murdered today.🚨 Not by accident. Not in a moment of chaos. But targeted—ambushed and killed while directing traffic at the University of Cincinnati commencement ceremony. And here’s what should outrage every decent person: The driver who hit and killed that deputy was the father of the thug who fled from Cincinnati Police yesterday —armed with a gun—and was shot and killed by CPD. Let that sink in. Instead of taking accountability for his son’s criminal actions, this father chose revenge. He got in his car and intentionally drove into a deputy simply because he wore a badge. Where was this father yesterday, when his son was running wild with a gun? Where was his outrage when that kid endangered lives and forced officers into a deadly encounter? This is bigger than one family. This is about a culture that defends criminals and demonizes the cops trying to stop them. This is evil. And it’s unacceptable. 💔 And this one hurts. I knew this deputy. He was one of a kind. A cop’s cop. The kind of guy who made you proud to do this job. Probably 7-8 years ago, Nate hid a ton of ducks around the house. We’ve found most of them since then but there’s been one still hidden. I found it today in a cupboard of abandoned coffee cups. 🥰 The Great Nate Duck Hunt is over.
