Good stuff, Sam. I agree. Higher on Boozer in CBB but higher AJ in NBA. Think college’s tight spacing & smaller ballhawk defenders might disrupt him at times. But athleticism jumps off page.
What is interesting is everything old is new again in CBB (cutting, screening, offball action). Difference today is a lot of things Knight utilized is now done w/extended spacing w/3 point evolution.
Some is by necessity as players more skilled at shooting … and best athletes/iso playmakers are one and done. So this philosophy makes sense as talent level of CBB players has regressed.
Coaches: It’s malpractice if you are not continuing looking for plays in the off-season to help your team win games. Here’s a good one from the @Raptors.
One of the best ways to score or creating scoring opportunities is to basket cut. Coach loved a great cutter!
Rick Majerus on cuts:
1-Never make a cut you don’t intend to score on.
2-Call out your cut.
3-Show a hand target, so the ball can find you.
4-Slow down in the scoring area.
5-Complete the cut to the front of the rim.
6-Relocate behind the arc.

I’m an opponent of the “post up” inbound (would rather have screen or player movement to receive). But if you attempt this, throw it to the far side of court well away from goal.
