I just had a conversation with a friend about this last night.
If toxic, or unhealthy, is the norm, run for the hills. You cannot change culture on your own.

Don’t go into a relationship — or institution — thinking you can change them:

Not sure I completely agree.
Online presence? Sure. Online ministry? Maybe. Depends on the church, their calling, and unique skills and capabilities.

This seems to track with previous generational patterns. Life stage changes, priority shifts, and a desire for community—all things that bring people “back” to church.
30% of white Millennials report attending church regularly post-COVID, up from 26% pre-pandemic. But non-white Millennials have returned with even greater zeal. 40% of non-White Millennials report attending church post-COVID, up from 31% pre-pandemic.

The length of the grieving is determined by the griever, not by how long you, as a comforter, can stand to be sad. Your work is to be with them where they are, not drag them out where you are more comfortable.
I am not overly concerned about the President's bad theology. Lost people tend to have lost people theology. I'm more concerned about the evangelicals who won't recognize it as bad theology.
