Many of you following along with #LizzoAtLOC were surprised that the Library has a flute vault. We are the largest Library in the world & home to more than 173 million objects, so there are many more surprises like that in our collections. Enjoy this thread of just a few of them.

It's Banned Books Week! BCPL celebrates the freedom to read.

Because of the weather forecast and the fact that chalk and rain don't go well together, our Chalk the Walk event is in the Decker Room tonight! All activities are still on! There'll still be snacks and crafts and coloring and fun! 6-7pm. All ages.
It's almost spooky season! Want to get started early? Join the First Thursday Book Club this month in reading Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, and then come in to join the discussion on Thursday September 6th.

There was an error on our post about library card sign up month. To get a card you do not have to live within Binghamton. You can live anywhere in Broome, Chenango, Delaware, or Otsego counties!

BCPL will be closed this upcoming Monday, September 5th, for Labor Day. We're open until 5 today if you'd like to stop in and stock up on books, DVDs, or CDs.
Starting next Tuesday, September 6th, we'll be offering notary public services!
