Here’s a preview of this term’s RE Today magazine which will be sent out to all NATRE members. Lots of ideas, inspiration and illumination!

The national annual report on SIAMS inspections over the last year by @DrMJ93 was published this morning by @CofE_Education. Good to celebrate the positive, and draw together recommendations to improve impact on children, young people and adults in schools.
Our annual SIAMS inspection report has been published today, highlighting the positive impact of moving away from one-word inspection grades in church schools. Read more: churchofengland.org/media/pr…

We loved using the #ExperienceEaster resources to enhance our children's work in #RE and foster their spirituality. @sgerkenjohnson

Here are things that I appreciate about the summer holidays as a teacher: 1) Eating breakfast as a family 2) Getting to cook for the family 3) Getting a haircut on a week day 4) Being able to finish a book in under a week 5) Not using the words spreadsheet, rota or data.

Definitely recommend heading straight off on holiday once the term has ended. Nothing makes rotas, budgets and emails fade into the background like visiting the beach.

🧵If you ever hear me speak you’ll know I’m a fan of knowledge rich but also a fan of childhood rich. If we have chn who leave ks1 not knowing traditional stories, games, rhymes & having taken part in rich opportunities to play, explore & develop, is this not just another deficit?

I love watching MPs swearing in following an election. It’s an easy way to learn new names and faces and gives a great insight into the religious, national and political identities of members. Here’s a thread of some of the more interesting moments from the last couple of days🧵

Eeyore stood by himself and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, “Why?” and sometimes he didn’t know what he was thinking. So when Pooh came stumping along, Eeyore was very glad to be able to stop thinking for a little. ~A.A.Milne #SundayMotivation
