I don’t really play much CR anymore so this isn’t as big of a deal to me vs if this were a couple years ago, but getting 4 completely clean maxis accounts stolen by phishing through in game support isn’t exactly ideal. I went on CR this afternoon and noticed I was logged out of supercell ID even though I never did so myself. I noticed that 4 of my account logins had no name which seemed equally strange to me at the time. I tried clicking on them to log in but had no luck. I checked my Royale API page and saw 4 usernames under my known profiles list that I was, and am not the biggest, or close to the biggest fan of. Those 4 accounts were the same ones that were glitched out in my log in page. I checked the emails for the supercell ID’s that corresponded with each account. To my demise I received 4 emails from supercell, 1 per each account/ to each email, that said my supercell ID has been disconnected from Clash Royale. I messaged support and was told to fill out the account recovery form in help and support; all the details it asked for were very standard - player tag, username, etc - but it then asked for the last 4 digits of the phone number I used to enable “account protection”. This was both confusing and alarming because I never set this up, nor had to in years past when I actively played and kept up with the game and its updates. I asked a support agent if this feature was new and they told me indeed it was. I don’t know how this (stealing/ phishing accounts) should be possible in the first place, but am worried the person that stole my accounts attached their phone number to my accounts as the “account protection number” since I never set it up, nor knew it had existed. I hope I am able to receive assistance or aid from supercell to recover my accounts, and would be very appreciative. If I am unable to recover them, I hope that supercell will ban the accounts, as they do not belong to this person, who doesn’t seem to be too great in their own right.
