The quote shared today has been my son's favorite quote since 3rd grade and has it hanging in his room. Michael Jordan truly demonstrated perseverance especially when he failed! He definitely proves that hard work leads to success while learning from failures. #BlackHistoryMonth
It is the last week of Black History Month...today spotlights a quote from President Obama. The last line has become a favorite of mine. Powerful Char. Ed advice...another quote popped to mind "Be the change you wish to see in the world!"-Gandhi #BlackHistoryMonth#bethechange

My mom always told me when I was young that "everyone has their own sparkle!" ๐ This John Lewis' quote resonated with me, and I shared it with my students today. No one should lose their sparkle due to behavior of others! #BlackHistoryMonth#RandomActsofKindnessDay
For today's quote, we are celebrating 2 events! Black History Month and Random Acts of Kindness Week! Question asked by MLK...how are we serving others? I am challenging my students to complete a random act of kindness each day this week! Hope they take up the challenge! ๐

Frederick Douglass, whose birth date is unknown, chose to celebrate his birthday on February 14th, because he was his mother's "little valentine." Happy Birthday, Frederick Douglass!
Yesterday's Black History Month quote was from former four star general who served as the first African-American Secretary of State. His wise words are guiding principles for success...be prepared, demonstrate effort, and persevere through failures. #BlackHistoryMonth
The Black History Month quote for today...Mae Jemison. She didn't allow those with limited imaginations stop her from achieving her dreams of becoming the first black woman in space! She had grit and determination to reach for the stars...literally! #BlackHistoryMonth
The quote for today speaks of recognizing the humanity of others and the feelings we develop for our own dignity when we do. Thurgood led a life that truly demonstrated perseverance, integrity, and respect. His story is groundbreaking! #BlackHistoryMonth
We must try to incorporate understanding of the workings of our emotions and the ways to tackle them into our education system. If we are kind and compassionate, weโll be honest. That leads to trust, stability and friendship.
