Affirmative action was never a complete answer in the drive towards a more just society. But for generations of students who had been systematically excluded from most of America’s key institutions—it gave us the chance to show we more than deserved a seat at the table.

Today is #WorldHemophiliaDay ♥️🩸
Hemophilia stinks, so today we took the time to *celebrate* it. My son (age 5) helped make & narrate this slideshow to teach his preschool peers about his diagnosis — everything HE wanted to share. I’m so proud of him!

A group in my room had designed an entire lesson around candy colors, skittles and M&Ms, and they were making and testing predictions. It was deliciously engaging!
