🆘🆘 MINION, 6 YO, MALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as a stray on 2/20/2025. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 3/8/25 ➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THEN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 15 DAYS IN SHELTER ➡️ MINION IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - Blood tests and clinical signs suggest that he has a rare condition called feline hypothyroidism. We have started therapy but he needs care and attention that we cannot provide. This condition/diagnosis means that MINION will be give very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: Minion....What a strange given name...Well, Minion was found roaming around in a large apartment building. A handsome kitty he is, dressed in a thick scruffy tabby coat, completed with white mittens and boots. I love his face, as round as a goldfish bowl and his deep green eyes. A bear of a cat! Minion might look a bit like a grumpy kitty but he is not. He is quite sweet and emerges slowly but surely from his hideout as I call his name. I imagine he might think to himself:"my name is not Minion...but I forgive you as I know you mean well!". Minion leans into pets and appreciates having his head scratched. Temptations are OK but Delectables are so much tastier. Do not worry, I have more in my bag...In a nutshell, I have to see more of Minion but so far, so good, he is a very nice kitty I would love to see going very soon to a safe, giving and loving home. Minion is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. Addendum: sweet Minion was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and is being treated with medication that will likely pick up his appetite and boost his energy. What a gentle soul he is.... Minion appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means the cat is given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Shadow tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter.
