11 years ago my co-founder and I launched Pacifica — a mobile app for stress, anxiety, and depression.
At its peak, over 4 million people downloaded it.
Last month, it quietly disappeared from the app stores. I didn’t know it was happening, and I was more emotional about it than I expected.
It reminded me how early startups are obsessed with real people and real problems and how that focus can change as companies grow.
No big lesson. Just gratitude for what it meant while it existed.
