Tier 6 is MUCH, MUCH WORSE than they're admitting. Even with about $100k recovered over a 40 year career with the new Tier 6 legislation, Tier 6ers are losing out on hundreds of thousands more! Tier 6 members lose up to $1.4 million in retirement earnings compared to Tier 4. This doesn't include the up to $2 million lost with the TDA 7.0% giveback. Some members in Tier 6 are decades older than Tier 4 members. Some went out to get more education or industry experience to bring to the classroom, then got hit with the multi-million dollar Tier 6 penalty as a result of that choice. We need Tier 6 EQUITY, sooner than later! Or we stand to lose more as we wait. ✅ One of the steps we can take right now as we organize to fight to fix Tier 6 is to vote for Ben Morgenroth for TRS Pension Trustee. ✅ He is the most qualified candidate and is on our side in advocating against the erosion of our benefits. 🗳️Vote Ben Morgenroth for TRS on May 8th.
