Pretty sure Fable would still be ok if Anthropic had not advertised it along with Mythos. Just say a new model and be done with it I’m saying this as someone who didn’t move from 4.8 because habits

If you feel AI has robbed you of creative joy For the love of all things, don’t use it for the thing you creatively enjoy Use it for things that are necessary and you don’t enjoy Let it free up your time to pour more into what you creatively enjoy

One by product of this is I'm pretty sure Matt just made "figuring out onboarding" irrelevant in most companies. Have a company handbook. Have a Claude account. Install this as a skill on Claude Desktop (I just did) Then have new employees run the /teach skill for onboarding.
I poured my 10 years of teaching experience into a skill. It's called /teach, and it can teach you anything. Here's how it taught me to solve a Rubik's cube:

Claude asking pretty frequently how it is doing reminds me of Mark from Parks and Rec asking Ann how he is doing in their relationship. Instead claude should ask, like Baymax, are you satisfied with your care?

Who can I talk to @AnthropicAI. Been talking with so many people lately who are more non-technical trying to use/maximize their setup with Claude. 90% of the non-technical users have probably never thought to click the icon to add a connector or skill. Help them

I love helping them to be clear. It is an area of joy for me to help people get wins. I've just seen it easily 20-30 times now and it's so funny that they don't even know there is a plus button let alone any sorts of ideas of what they could do

Varda Space Industries, you know the make medicines in space (sorry for the over simplification) But they should be the first to have Data Centers in space.

If you are building the last piece of software but your software produces software…. I’m sure roadmaps and things are involved just sounded funny thinking about it this morning

Does anyone know why you have to press 'keep' after sending an audio message on iphone? I find it so annoying that I can send audio messages and then effectively have no evidence of that if I didn't keep it so then I second guess if I sent it to someone or not

What do you do when you know an incredible dev who has been working on this problem for years but because they are not big on publicity they don't tend to get the attention they deserve. I am speaking of a good friend of mine who applied to Infisical and wow'd them
.env files are evil and I hate them and I have no idea what to do to fix them infisical feels like a step in the right direction, I think it's the best answer I've found for now it is so damn annoying that every time I want to do something useful pulling data around between things in one off ways I'm like oh wait I need a .env file for this don't I oh fucking joy yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and then I make a work tree and remember I need to copy it over! YAY! YAY! YAY! I fucking hate these things fuck api keys fuck javascript I want to go write golang with zero deps just to never have to deal with this shit again EXCEPT OH WAIT EVERYTHING INTERESTING NEEDS AN API KEY FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU sry for the crashout I've spent ~8 hours over the last few days setting up agent vault for my hermes agents. it's really cool and works really well! But this problem space still just fucking blows. Going through a dashboard to copy paste around 20 different keys and save them to a bunch of different envs is just so fucking tedious and stupid. It drives me up a fucking wall that the actual hardest part of building the internal systems for the channels is authing with notion/gmail/slack in a responsible way. The actual apps/skills for data pipelines are super fun and easy, I just end up stuck in hell trying to setup credentials the right way b/c nothing is secure at all anymore and the worst part is I have absolutely zero clue what to do about this. Probably just an MCP gateway type thing which still can suck, but it's probably the only sensible way to do this stuff

The problem he has been addressing for years and building to solve is getting rid of secrets completely. I believe he would be someone to run his own company, and hired/funded by Cloudflare @dok2001 👀 Just me trying to help a friend do the work he wants to be doing

Here me out You can like types and use them and think they are good for what you are doing and get to where you are going You can also not want them, not need them, not use them, and also get to where you are going. You have agency

Agents don't need types. They're perfectly capable of pulling off incredible refactorings without. Give them a linter and a test suite, and you have all you need. Token efficiency is where it's at.

The video shared here is utterly sad to me. Over 2 years ago it was clear that what was promising infinite "productivity" deceived people into thinking they would have greater leisure. What has happened is the exact opposite and everyone is frantic and destroying themselves.

I talked about this on the standup podcast yesterday, but I'll reiterate here: if you're losing sleep because you need to keep feeding the agents STOP, I promise it's not worth it. You got caught in a [prompt -> reward] dopamine cycle and you're addicted to the feeling of the token slot machine. It's not your fault, but you need to escape before it grinds you into a pulp and you can't look at a computer for a month (this was me). If you can break out of it and spend some more time offline, or find other healthy sources of dopamine in hobbies/etc, you'll start to realize just how warped your perception was and that the thing you were chasing wasn't actually productive.

BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY I still maintain that if AI does not give you time back and offload the things from you that are taxing then it is being used wrong. "Boosting" your productivity as stated here is actually losing time. It is a net negative on YOU

If you are the type of person who can grind but still detach and be present, incredible. But figure out how AI augments you and fills in gaps for you and lets you play to your strengths.

Devs using Inngest, Trigger, Vercel Workflow SDK, Temporal, etc. - how do you show a workflow to a PM, stakeholder, or even yourself without reading the code? Curious what helps and what doesn't for understanding workflows better.

The stupidity and future horror of thinking AI will be good managers. Then again this is the difference between managers and leaders. If the metric is the quantity, managers being moved to be AI is 'pragmatic'. Employees will follow because humans are not 'efficient' enough.
BREAKING: Meta, $META, to move 7,000 people to new AI initiatives and eliminating managerial roles

I know we all have strong feelings on claude right now. But Claude.ai/design when pointing at an incredible design system from an incredible team is just utterly mind blowing
