NEW: Alani Bankhead, the Dem nominee for Senate in MT, announced that she is STAYING IN the race. Some national Ds thought that, if she dropped out, independent U of Montana President Seth Bodnar could make the race competitive.

The mood had pretty light over the past nine hours — until about 15 minutes ago when the crew brought out tarp. Mood changed immediately with boos and chants of “Shame!”

It’s nearly 1 a.m. at the Kennedy Center, with no signs of Trump’s name imminently being removed and an additional scaffolding layer being built.
Most spectators seem to be sticking it out (for now), though a couple have called it a night and trickled out.

Minutes after midnight’s deadline to comply with the court order removing Trump’s name, a crowd outside the Kennedy Center is cheering for construction workers to do so — chanting “Do it!” and “Take it down!”
