Hey everyone
I wrote about being a #comms consultant and lessons I've learned about it over the past 4.5 years.
TLDR:
1. Listen more than talk
2. Ask the right questions
3. Take people with you
4. Bring people together
5. Gain people's trust
Enjoy!

NEW MUSIC REVIEW*
Gorgeous reverb soaked guitars introduce 'Don't Ever Change' the latest song from Liverpool songsmith Ben Capper aka @SaturnSaturnSa1 it then morphs into a manic psychedelic emotional plea to never change and this guy sings like he means it! That's rare!
Some of you know that as well as blathering on about comms, I also do a music thing too.
This is the new thing I've done. If you like 40-something-based indie rock with lots of fuzz and digital delay pedals, it's possible you might like it...
I'll just leave it here....
🚨NEW SINGLE OUT NOW ON BANDCAMP!🚨
Don't Ever Change is out now on bandcamp - before going everywhere tomorrow (Friday 28th October). Get it today before everyone else.
Hope you like it. Thanks guys x

You could almost feel sorry for her, until you realise she wanted this, fought for it, she’s now the most powerful person in the country and she’s brought this disaster all on herself x.com/AlexofBrown/status/158…

And those questions are “why are you doing this?” “What are you doing?” “How will it work?” “Who is it aimed at?” “What do you want them to think, feel and do?” #commscampnorth
So I seem to be working on 4 different comms strategies this week.
I wrote a thing last month about how to do them - so that anyone actually ever reads them.
Hope you find useful-ish.

I wrote a little something about a pretty successful comms campaign I worked on last summer. It’s a long(ish) read but I hope worth 10 minutes of your time. Thanks @comms2point0 as always.

Oh hello everyone.
It's been a while.
I've written a new thing for @comms2point0 about a really good comms campaign I worked on last year.
I hope you like it. Thanks @darrencaveney for having me back after all this time....

I feel like @Microsoft should probably lose the "Congratulations on hosting your first Teams meeting" message you get one you've hosted your 150th of the past 22 months...
So after everything in the past 5 or so years, the thing that gets Conservative MPs really mad is being asked to vote for (quite mild) measures to protect public health.
