That’s it. We’re at the sea. There’s only one way forward and that’s if the sea is miraculously split.
The Egyptians, the western world is creeping up on us with their chariots, their aid, and the pressure is intensifying.
In front of us is the sea, our enemies, their volatility and appetite for destruction.
We have nowhere left to go.
And the entire world is watching waiting to see the jewish people drown so they can laugh at us and say “The chosen people, my butt. How’s their Hashem doing now? Where did He disappear to?”
We are standing before the sea with nowhere left to go. All that’s left is to turn upward and ask for a miracle, ask Him to kindly split the sea.
America has taken its jet carrier back. Biden and Netanyahu have had some very tense discussions in the past few days.
International pressure is mounting due to the false narrative that Israel is committing some made up genocide.
Israel is fighting a new kind of war, one that has two levels, over ground and underground. Winning a war like this requires massive patience. It also involves endless loss on our end. The numbers are heart wrenching and I don’t even mean the soldiers who were killed by the enemy. Due to the impossible terrain, so many of our heroes fell because of human error.
The walls are closing in and the only thing stopping them from crushing us is the United States. They are still vetoing the Jew hatred in the UN and they are still sending over billions in military aid but pretty soon that’ll end and unless the sea splits, the walls will crush us.
How do we accomplish our objectives when the objectives we defined are mutually exclusive? We can’t crush Hamas and get our hostages back.
The head snake, Sinwar is hiding somewhere surrounded by hostages. We can either get him and put them in immediate risk or forget him and negotiate to get them back. We can’t do both.
And if we don’t accomplish both those objectives, what happens next? The all powerful IDF loses a war to a glorified street gang? I can hear the cheers in the streets of Gaza and the proud declarations that “The resistance” has managed to do what armies weren’t, to defeat the IDF.
Once that happens, if you think the entire Muslim world won’t see that as an opportunity to unite and attack us, well, you’re kidding yourself.
We are fighting an impossible war against a death cult that doesn’t fear death, it glorifies it. How do you defeat an enemy that cannot be defeated? If one Hamas terrorist survives this war, they’ll declare victory.
There’s only way forward and that’s through the sea. That way forward is disconnecting from the United States when they demand that we end this war. It’s not a question of “if”. It’s a “when”.
Removing our dependency on the U.S.’ financial and military aid is scary. Terrifying actually.
How will we pay for the Iron Dome? The tanks. The shells. The jets. It’s scary. As scary as the dark sea. It’s unknown territory. Just like the ocean.
But that’s where we are now. There’s no turning back. The world is creeping up. There’s no way around the sea, it’s all we have in front of us.
We need to jump in and pray.
I want to believe God didn’t bring us to this point for us to die here on the shore.
There’s no way He performed all those miracles, the war of independence, the 6 day war, the Yom Kippur war, the startup nation, and on and on, just to let us perish here. There must be a different plan.
But for the sea to split, we need a Nachshon. Nachshon, unlike the rest of the nation, didn’t stand there paralyzed with fear. He jumped in.
We need that leadership. We need someone to jump in, otherwise the sea won’t split.
If we end this war prematurely, it won’t be the end of a war, it’ll be the beginning of one. In that war, on one side is Israel, and the other? The entire world who smelled our weakness and came to kick us when we were down.
So now we have a decision to make. We either buckle under the pressure or we understand and internalize that if we don’t jump in and cut that dependency, it’s game over.
We’re at the sea, folks. This is the final move on the chess board. The future of our nation, in a very real way, depends on our next move, and by “our”, I mean our leadership, and by our leadership, I mean our prime minister.
I would not want to be in Bibi’s shoes right now but that’s why he is there and I am here. He has what might be the most important decision he will ever make ahead of him.
The good news? If he does jump in and tells Biden to go fly a kite, I have a feeling Biden will realize he is not so keen on ending this relationship. He will hopefully realize that he needs us more than we need him.
You see, Biden is also under immense pressure to force us to end this war. But my gut tells me that when Netanyahu says no, Biden will actually be relieved. I believe he has to make that demand but doesn’t really expect us to oblige. He realizes that would be political suicide for the government and even literal suicide for the country and the nation.
We need to play our cards right and stand our ground. This is the highest stakes poker game in history and we need to be prepared to use the hand we were dealt and have our bluff called. We need to prepare ourselves to lose this game and move onto the next one. But I have a strong feeling that our opponent in this game will fold. Logic dictates that he will.
Either way, we have reached a fork in the road and there is no other way to go other than forward into the volatile and scary sea of diplomatic, political, and military isolation.
And so, we pray for the volatile waters to split.
