Our meta-analysis on LIT is out! We found a large effect on VO2max and a small effect on cardiometabolic health indices, mainly in untrained populations. Within our intensity limits (<60% VO2max), higher intensity was associated with greater VO2max gains. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

The European Journal of Applied Physiology reports that cyclists maintained higher work output above critical power when work rate was reduced prior to failure. This challenges the notion of W′ as a fixed parameter, showing adaptability in performance. bit.ly/4oDUDFX

Does durability impact marathon performance? In our new paper we find that runners with better durability tend to run faster marathons. Full thread below 👇
New 📖: Durability of parameters associated with endurance running in marathoners We tested associations between durability of key physiological parameters and marathon performance. 🔗: doi.org/10.1002/ejsc.70073 @Daniel_Muniz_ 🧵

8/ 🍔 Takeaway message: - Determinants of endurance performance decline after prolonged running. - Smaller drops in the sLT following prolonged running are associated with faster marathons. - Durability should be considered alongside the “big three” when profiling runners.
