Worth stressing that sources close Modella Capital, the firm behind TG Jones, say no decision has been made and there are alternatives to store closures. Landlords to many will be asked to agree to cheaper rents. Modella may also ask WH Smith to provide financial support.

SCOOP with @j_a_warrington Buyer of Peter Mandelson's stake in his advisory firm is understood to be Rebecca Park, who succeeded Benjamin Wegg-Prosser as boss of Global Counsel, after he stood down on Friday. Unlike his co-founder, Wegg-Prosser plans to hold onto his shares.
