Solana needs to figure something out IMMEDIATELY. I’ve been in and around the Solana community for almost 4 years now. I came in pre-FTX, back when the ecosystem felt completely different. There was a different sense of culture and community. People were building, trading, collecting NFTs, forming groups and trying to prove that Solana was more than just another L1. (We legit had ETH calling us the POOR chain 😭) But over time, that “community” has changed drastically. For a while, Solana was on easy mode. Pumpfun and memecoins made the chain feel unstoppable. Every day there was a new meta, a new runner, a new viral coin, a new character, a new group chat printing, a new reason for people to log on and pay attention. It created constant speculation and constant volume. And to be fair, Solana has always been incredible at speculation. Solana has consistently found ways to show up, capture attention, and become the center of the market. But now the question is: what’s next? Because the chain cannot depend on Pumpfun forever. Nobody really knows what Solana is supposed to become from here. Is it supposed to compete with Hyperliquid? Is the next big opportunity in DeFi? DEX? Is it consumer apps? Is it another memecoin wave? Is it NFTs coming back? Is it something completely new? I understand everyone is here for the money. That’s crypto. Nobody needs to pretend otherwise. But money alone doesn’t build culture. Because what made Solana special in the first place, was the feeling that something was happening every single day and that you wanted to be there before everyone else noticed. We need something that brings the old Solana community and the new Solana community together. Not sure what that “thing” is but I hope Solana can figure it out before it gets left behind lmao - Berdyn
