Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, @AbdulkadirEA, today opened a two day technical consultation workshop organized by the ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation in partnership with UNDP and the Berghof Foundation to explore the establishment of a National Insider Peacebuilders, Mediators, and Nabadoons Network for Somalia.
The workshop brought together representatives from government institutions, peacebuilding practitioners, and partner organizations to reflect on lessons learned from existing peacebuilding and mediation networks, while discussing practical approaches to strengthening reconciliation, social cohesion, and locally led peace processes across the country.
The Director General underscored the importance of building inclusive and sustainable mechanisms that strengthen coordination among peace actors and support national reconciliation efforts. He reaffirmed Ministry’s commitment to advancing Somali led peacebuilding initiatives that promote dialogue, community resilience, and lasting peace across Somalia.
