Another part of a PA’s job is tissue procurement for research. My facility has their own biorepository where mothers of babies born with birth defects can consent for us to take fresh tissue from the placenta and store at -80 degrees for possible future studies.

As an IM resident in the ICU, I felt like my male colleagues were doing tons of lines while I got few. I wondered: am I imagining this? Is this gendered? Turns out others wondered the same. So we decided to study it. The results are now out in @atsscholar.

Feb 8- nearly out of ESR reagent.
Feb 9- sent targeted email to top orders of ESR asking them to hold off.
Feb 10-12- no change in volume- bar graph is same as the weekends prior.
