The movie, Lost in Territories, directed by Nadav Shlomo Giladi, was a remarkably humorous and insightful experience.
Set in the West Bank, the film offers a darkly comic and deeply human glimpse at life beyond the headlines. It finds moments of connection and absurdity where division seems absolute. Through five interwoven stories, the film extracts unexpected humor from the complex realities of Jews and Arabs living together. I highly recommend. 🎥

Iran is playing Trump like a fiddle. Hezbollah is Irans Islamic regime. Israel is protecting its citizens just like we would if missiles were raining down on Central Park, Mar a Lago or on our Nations Capital. We all want peace but not at the expense of an ally. Fix Iran, not Israel. Trim your delusional. There may be a deal signed today but Iran has no intention in honoring it. Furthermore I am skeptical of any deal that claims to be superior to past agreements as it appears to provide less oversight over enrichment and room to continue to build ballistic missiles. Clearly Trump’s thoughts for today are undermining PM Netanyahu. Dealing with Iran is not like bullying your competitors in a real estate transaction. My primary priority remains the long-term safety and stability of the younger generation.

It appears there's a disparity in Trump's stance, as he advocates for a response to Iran after an Apache helicopter incident, while harshly criticizing Israel for defending its citizens from incoming ballistic missiles. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I hope other philanthropic families follow suit. I admire Chagit's enthusiasm for understanding the importance of Jewish identity. Jewish day schools do amazing work, but affordability is a major issue for most families, including the middle class. Hopefully, their work sparks interest in supporting these institutions. Catholic schools have always been more affordable. The time is now to make Jewish Day schools more affordable. Our future depends on it.

Orthodox Jewish Billionaire Lev Leviev’s family just announced a massive new $50 million initiative for Jewish education.
Chagit Leviev Sofiev announced that the Leviev Foundation will invest $50 million over the next five years to provide scholarships and educational grants for Jewish children from underserved and immigrant communities.
“Jewish identity should never be a luxury,” she said, recalling how a young Jewish boy once told her: “Don’t worry, no one in my school knows I’m Jewish.”
Her family’s story makes this mission even more powerful.
Her great-grandfather, Zevulun Leviev, was exiled to Siberia for teaching Jewish children aleph bet in the Soviet Union. Her grandfather secretly served as the region’s only mohel. And her father, Lev Leviev, went on to build more than 150 Jewish schools and institutions across the former Soviet Union and beyond.
Lev Leviev would always say:
“The real diamonds are Jewish children.”
An incredible investment in the future of the Jewish people.
